Free Play Boardgames

Bring your own games and come meet a friend to play with, or come with nothing and learn a game from someone who knows it well. Playing games all day is encouraged!

Board Game Library

An extensive board game library will be available for free during the event. To check out a game, see the attendants at the counter. Trade your ID for the game of your choice and play until your heart is content. When you return the game your ID will be returned.

Family Gaming

There will be a number of games set aside in the game room that are family friendly and age appropriate for the younger crowd to be enjoyed with the whole family. GTG members will be available to help you get started.

Demos

Intrepidatious (12pm - 2pm)

(Bravery without fear doesn't exist.)

The land is overrun with monsters. Your job is to recruit a party of adventurers to do battle and make the world safe. Each successful encounter could give you access to enhancements that can be used to improve your adventurers. The good news? Some of the recruits are fearless..... intrepid, if you will. The bad news? Some of them are full of trepidation. Too many of these and your party is overcome with fear and you run away.

Is your party up to the challenge? Can you make them so?

This game is currently a prototype and will be presented by the designer Daniel Hunter

Sentinels of the Multiverse (4pm-7pm)

A mad scientist holds the world hostage with his terrifying inventions. An alien warlord from a far away galaxy brings his limitless army of bizarre minions to conquer the planet. A giant rampaging robot cuts a swath of destruction across the coast, destroying major population centers. And who will stand in their way? A team of heroes, all with impressive powers and abilities stand between the world and the forces of evil. Will you help them? Answer the call to protect the multiverse!

Raffles (2pm - 10pm)

Tickets can be earned or purchased throughout the day and allocated to any drawing prize. A full schedule of prize specific drawing times will be posted at the event, and guests must be present to claim a raffle prize

Drawings will occur at: 2:00PM 3:00PM 4:00PM 5:00PM 6:00PM 7:00PM 8:00PM 10:00PM

Tournaments

Love Letter (10am - 12pm)

All of the eligible young men (and many of the not-so-young) seek to woo the princess of Tempest. Unfortunately, she has locked herself in the palace, and you must rely on others to take your romantic letters to her. Will yours reach her first?

First prize: TBD

7 Wonders (2:30pm - 5pm)

You are the leader of one of the 7 great cities of the Ancient World. Gather resources, develop commercial routes, and affirm your military supremacy. Build your city and erect an architectural wonder which will transcend future times.

Prizes will be promotional materials for 7 Wonders. Details TBD.

Board Game Trivia (7:30pm - 8:30pm)
